ROMEO’S (RETIRED OLD MEN EATING OUT) Join us at breakfast every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. for food, fellowship, and planning for our next special project. Meet at Spear's Restaurant 4323 W. Maple. All men are welcome! For more information, contact the church office.


THE CRAWL Join a lively group of adults for monthly food and fellowship at different local restaurants. Typically held on the third Thursday, this is a great way to get to enjoy the diversity of our congregation and make new friends. Check the newsletter or contact the church office for dates and locations and to place your reservation.

Adult Sunday School

College Hill UMC offers a variety of Sunday morning classes for fellowship, education, spiritual and personal growth as well as other events. Topics of study include Bible and theology, current book studies, social and justice issues. It is our hope that you will find an adult Sunday school to meet your needs. Sunday school classes meet at 10:15 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

  • Agape (Ages 40 and up)

    A fun-loving group of couples and singles from various religious backgrounds that study current topics, books, or videos. We enjoy discussing the relevance and impact of spirituality in our modern, everyday lives. Social activities seal our supportive friendships. We like adding new members; they add spice to our discussions.

  • builders (ages 60 and up)

    The purpose of the Builders class is to further the Christian interest of its members, to promote Christian Education and to promote loyalty to God and College Hill UMC. They brunch together on Sundays and have monthly socials. Come be a part of a progressive thinking, fun-loving class. All are welcome!

  • common threads

    The class is a casual, come when you can gathering with the focus on Faith and

    applying it to Current Events. There is no prep or reading required in advance. We will have a light curriculum that is provided weekly with time given in the beginning of class to read the few paragraphs and reflections and then we will discuss.

  • communicators (ages 45 and up)

    This eclectic group of adults strives to gown in their faith through class study and discussion topics and through frequent social activities.

  • Contemporary studies (all ages)

    Each semester this class studies a different book focusing on a contemporary religious issue. Passionate agreements and disagreements power the hour each Sunday morning.

    Meets in room #B5 in the basement.

  • Double circle (ages 70 and up)

    Curriculum for this class is The International Lesson Series (Adult Bible Study). Beyond fellowship and learning on Sunday this group enjoys monthly social events.

  • seekers (ages 30 and over)

    The Seekers are a group of adults with various mental and physical challenges who enjoy signing and studying the Bible.

    Meets in room #308 on the third floor.

  • viceroy (all ages)

    Viceroy was the first reconciling group in Kansas, welcoming all people regardless of sexual orientation, age or race. They grapple with difficult questions including the Methodist Quadrilateral, Creation Spirituality and various books.
