In our Children's Ministry, our mission is to help kids find their way to God, connect with others,
and contribute to changing the world. We believe that kids have the capacity to walk intimately with God,
and we love to see them learn about God and connect through Bible stories, and crafts.
sunday school
We meet at 10:15 in the basement, during Sunday school, children, Kindergarten - 5th Grade, can join in the fun of faith formation at Sunday School! With a weekly lesson, Bible story and focus on the church calendar, children will engage in the life of the church as they begin to apply their faith to real life! We dive deep into the stories and practices of our faith as we explore God’s love in our lives together at Sunday school. The 1st Sunday of the month is our family worship Sunday, so we encourage families to worship together on this day, no Sunday school.

CHUM Nursery

The CHUM Nursery is available on Sunday mornings for children ages 6 weeks to entering Kindergarten. It is available from 8:50- 11:15 am. The nursery is located on the main floor across from Fellowship Hall. Once children are 4 and potty trained they are able to attend Sunday School in the basement with the “BIG KIDS”!

Ecumenical Vacation bible school
VBS is one of our favorite weeks of the summer a meaningful, fun-filled time when children and friends from our partner churches come together to learn, play, serve, and grow in faith.

christmas pageant
One of our most beloved traditions! Each December, our children help bring the Christmas story to life during our annual Christmas Pageant. With costumes, music, laughter, and plenty of Christmas joy, there’s a place for everyone from our littlest participants to our older kids and youth.
It’s a beautiful (and sometimes wonderfully unpredictable!) way for our children to share the story of Jesus’ birth with our whole church family.
palm sunday and easter
Palm Sunday is a special day for our whole church family! Our children help us begin Holy Week as we remember Jesus’ joyful entrance into Jerusalem leading the palm parade. Following worship, everyone is invited to an all-church luncheon, with crafts, activities, and plenty of fun for children and families to enjoy together.
On Easter, the celebration continues with our Easter Egg Hunt a joyful tradition filled with laughter, connection, and the hope and new life of Easter!
camp horizon
Summer Camp & Children’s Fall Retreat
There’s something special about time away at camp! Through summer camp and our Children’s Fall Retreat at Camp Horizon, kids build friendships, experience God in new ways, and discover a deeper sense of belonging.
They come home energized and excited often with a renewed enthusiasm for God, church, and being part of a faith community.
