College Hill United Methodist Church (CHUM) 

has distributed food to those in need throughout our more than 100 years of existence. 

In 2009, CHUM established a relationship with the Kansas Food Bank

which allowed us to expand the amount of food distributed and the number of people served. 

Food is distributed on the following schedule: 

First Tuesday of each month 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Third Saturday of each month 9:00 am – 11:00 am

In addition, the Saturday event includes a pancake and sausage breakfast that is free and open to all. 

There are no eligibility requirements to receive food from CHUM. 

First-time guests are required to provide an ID, contact information

and certain demographic information about members of their household. 

The Food Pantry food distribution and free breakfast are funded solely

by designated donations from members of the CHUM community.

Guests receive one bag of groceries per household which usually contains: 

canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter, canned meat, a box dinner, 

a macaroni-and-cheese dinner and a 4-pack of toilet paper. 

When available we will also have fresh vegetables, breads and pastries.

Volunteers are welcome to help with each month’s Saturday distribution and/or fill food sacks on the Friday before.
